It all depends on who rebuilt the transmission. Ordanace Depot rebuilt
Units appear to use the 10 W Oil as indicated in the Manual, however,
the Transmissions rebuilt by Memphis Equipment must use Dextron II. My
transmission was rebuilt by Memphis Equipment and with the exception
of a leak in the heat exchanger water cooler(replaced by Memphis
Equipment) the Unit works perfect after the final first band
adjustment as described in the TM.

Cliff,
A friend of mine did just the opposite. He filled his trans (not rebuilt)
with Dextron II and caused serious problems. Anyone that has one
of these trucks has to make sure whether or not their transmission
is a rebuilt unit. I guess there might be a tag on the trans., or go by
the color of the fluid on the dipstick.
