Reminds me of the story of a US Navy aircraft carrier (the biggest MV). As
the story goes, while in overhaul some yard workers noticed that there was
an area on the ship that didn't have a door or hatch...no access. So they
cut a hole through the bulkhead and inside is a completely outfitted
machine shop, brand new never touched. Somehow during construction of the
ship this space had been welded in on all sides with no access and no one
had noticed.
I've heard this story many times over the years. I believe it is urban
myth, but who knows......
