[MV] M38A1 Carb rebuild kit complete?

Recently ordered a carb rebuild kit for my '53 M38A1. One part not included
(not sure if it was supposed to be, or not) was a new mixture adjustment
screw. Should there have been one?

My mixture adjustment screw was beat up around the point; even bent
slightly. Is this going to cause me serious problems in trying to get this
thing running properly? Obviously I'm new to this, so any help would be
appreciated.
