Steve,
Several years ago I discovered that the tire shop I was going to used
a "tire grease" on the beads. The shop owner gave me a small quantity
and I always apply some to tires I'm mounting. The shop has closed
and I have never tried to purchase any, but it must be available. Got
friends at a tire shop? Two cups of the stuff goes a long ways.
