With your wheels, you will need to get the tire away from the split ring. The
ring extends under the beed of the tire. The tire MUST NOT be covering the ring
in any way. Once away, you gently spread the ring with a pry bar using the
minimum amount of deflection possible. Once you get the ring split enough to
det one end started up and over the wheel, slowly work it around using the pry
bar and hammer. Do NOT hit any of the locking surfaces and only pry the ring up
a little at a time. You don't want to wind up with a not flat ring.
