Let me state for the record, as being the initiator of this topic
thread, that my desire was only to inquire about photographs and/or
information on the Jagdtiger recovery which was thoughtfully provided
to me by members of this list. Where the vehicle was or is or who owns
it now...that isn't a concern for me and I have no desire to know
unless it ends up in public hands ( highly doubtful given the vehicle
in question ) and would be available for display at some meet or
museum which I could attend.

Given that this quote is from my initial post to the list...yes, once
the website for the group was pointed out to me, the diary does indeed
mention why no photographs were made available due to the book deal. I
do hope the book project comes to fruition and that should it make it
to the bookshelves, information is given on how one can obtain it. As
with screenplays and such, the big boys gobble up the rights and, with
most of them, sit on them and do nothing with them...their sole
purpose in buying them in the first place is to deny them to the
competition. It does please me that the Simonides Group recognized
this tactic and will undertake publishing efforts within the group.

Given the budgets, or lack thereof, of some museums, its probalby
little wonder they can only ask for donations since they can't afford
to purchase displays. Certainly not conductvie to making expenses
back, though.
Best,
Ed
