What I have done is contact Neapco in PA. I spoke with a very, friendly
and helpful tech (Mike Jones). He is willing to identify the parts, if
I can supply him with the outer cap diameter and the cross length for
each u-joint. Because these are Spicer parts, I don't have to take the
u-joints off the vehicle, I can measure close enough so Mike can id the
proper parts. Mike did state that these will be common parts and that
Neapco likely made some. Mike also stated that if we can properly id
the parts that Neapco can then list them in their parts book.
What I would like from those on the list who have an interest, is for
you to go to your vehicles and make the same measurements. This way we
can confirm that there were no mixing of parts during the production
run. I would hate to post to the list part numbers that may not be
right for someone else's vehicle.
The measurements you can make are: outer cap diameter (outside of piece
with needle bearings inside) and length across one arm of the u-joint
while the caps are compressed.
