[MV] radiator color?

What is the correct color for the radiator in a 1945 GPW as it came from the
factory? Have heard OD, Ford gray, and black. Anyone have a definitive answer,
or is this again one of those -- it depends on where the jeep was, who had it
or whether or not it was rebuilt/replaced.
