It appears from the comments that some of you are missing the point of what
should be learned here. I feel that this is a valid discussion topic that
we can learn from and may save some people from a real bad situation down
the line. At various meets I've seen some dewats and demils, or failure to
demil that well could land the owner in serious problems with BATF, as Mr.
Littlefield now finds himself involved in. A lot of these are not
intentional on the owner's part, he just wants to make his vechicle look
authentic for display and further his impression. BATF often times does
not feel this way and if it's a violation, it's a violation. I seem to
remember an excellant presentation that was done by BATF at the MVPA
convention in Portland. If this is not a valid discussion relating to our
green stuff, I don't know what it isn't. Please guys, know the laws when
you construct your display pieces. If in doubt contact the BATF for
