The person talking about the tank situation is refering to something call
Brunelling (sp?). Because you have point contact with usually one ball for a
long period, the ball gets brittle and when 1st reused, it shatters. This
could be a problem with parking a vehicle in the same spot for a long time.
As I understand it, this only occurs under load so in the case of neutering, it
would not be a problem.
