For those of you who don't know what these are.....
There is a need for letting a diesel engine sit idle for 5 minutes before
shut off.... this does two things (at least that is what I have read)...(I'm
not a mechanic)...
It allows the bearings and engine to cool off to prevent seizure mainly in
the turbo I understand.... it also allows the exhaust to lubercate (via
residue in the exhaust)certains areas of the cylinder walls and turbo
bearings.....
ANYWAY.... I know the manuals requre 5 minutes so I don't need any helpfull
hints on what the time exactly does.... unless its requested by another
member of the list. The timer fits in or under the dash and is a round
guage type shape (IE: would fit into your fuel guage on most MV's same size
round bezel)....When you turn your MV off.. it counts 5 minutes then REALLY
turns your MV off.... saving fuel and not shorting your cooling time if in a
hurry or whatever......
If you want one:
You need to send a cashiers check in the ammount of $25.00 to:
Damon Lehr
1424 NE 195th
Portland, OR. 97230
and add 5 bucks for shipping to your ammount... There is not discount if
you need more than one.... I'm not profiting from this and I can't make any
type of deals like that.. sorry... (I also have names of happy people from
the list that can let you know what they think of my ship/out time and my
product).... HEY.. better yet, call PRECO corp in IDAHO and ask them to
send you info on one.....
Have a great day.... and if you want to call me about a question feel
free...
