Talking about driving these things in the warm....

The Canadian Farand and Delorme (apologies for spelling) Snowmobile I'm
sure was tested as an over-sand vehicle in the Egyptian desert during
the war, complete with artic camoflage - bet the cooling system was
well tested after that. 8-)
