[MV] GPA/GPW Engines and codes

Well, I finally am moved (again).

My '42 GPW has a GPA engine number. Both the data plate and the title have
the same number. Anybody out there have any ideas as to why a GPA engine
would be in my jeep?

Also, what's the worth (ballpark) of my engine?
