TM 9-804A which nobody seems to sell, at p 258 shows 5 tie downs; 3 for
side curtain straps. 2 for ? . Two on upper tier and three on lower.
The lower look like they will match the side curtains straps I have. My
M38A1 has none of the lower group, nor holes to install them. So I need
6 "footmen", if that is what they are called, to tie down the side
curtains and 6 phillips head bolts and lock washers and nuts.
Also figured out I need 8 lower door "swivel twists" ? to hold the doors
to the frame at the low end and 8 screws to hold the door piece that
secures the upper part of the door (via rope in the canvas) to the door
frame.
Then I need something to keep the door rod from going too deep into
the door jamb. TOP suggested I could build one and some one else said
to weld a washer to the rod. I would prefer whatever was standard.
What is it? I thot of cutting a piece of angle, drilling 2 holes thru
body tub
but again I would rather keep it original.
I also need two top rods as mind are homemade, I think. Could also use
new winter top to get ready for Oregon Winter (it is here). Thanks for
any help and thanks to all of you who have helped me thru this.
If anyone has a broken exhaust maniford stud on the aft end I may have a
cure for the problem. This is on the Hurricane "F". Richard
