Dear Steve,
As far as I know VOLKSWAGEN wants to buy the TATRA company to get
a heavy truck branch. TATRA trucks are very good, but the original
TATRA engines are outdated. The fuel consumption and the exhaust
emissions are too high.

It shows the TATRA 813, which a friend of mine owns. Nice vehicle, I like
to drive it. The picture was taken on the Kummersdorf proving grounds, near
Berlin.
The sound of the air-cooled V12 engine is superb.
