depending on how bad these are stuck on there, you might want to try some
penetrating oil...
on _really_ tight bolts (vw rear axle nuts are 300 ft lbs) i'd take a
cheater bar (chunk of pipe or ?) over the end of the beefiest socket /
breakerbar / lugwrench you have.. make sure the socket is a tight fit...
and lean on it..
if you have a 4 ft cheater on it and you can stand on it and nothin
happens, chances are you're going to break the stud, so what i do is
flatten the other end of the cheater, bolt a loop of chain to the other
end, hook my come along to it, and tighten it up.. once it's taught, take
in about another 2 inches of cable. (the idea here is to put a couple
hundred foot lbs of tourqe on it, and then go to bed...) if that didn't
break it loose, a little heat might do it. don't get it too hot or you'll
screw up the heat treating on the studs..
