[MV] ACFARER: oil squirt holes

While assembling my GPW's motor I was reading my War Dept. Tech Manual TM
9-1803A, the manual for the engine and engine accessories and it says at
the start of the paragraph concerning installation of connecting rods and
piston assemblies that the oil squirt holes should face toward the RIGHT
side of the engine. In the second part of the paragraph it goes on to say
that they should point to the LEFT side of the engine. I am ASSUMING that
the holes should be pointing to the right to spray the camshaft and
lifters. Does anyone have a hint? Thanks, Jonathan
