1. 1942 C15A Chevrolet water tanker. Early truck with civilian guages and
some of the winterisation odds and ends still fitted. Unrestored
original cab and chassis, ran (just) when purchased, but the current owner
gave the cracked manifold block to someone to repair, and they screwed it
up and threw it away (!) Rear body is currently a contemporary Morris
Commercial 200 gallon British tank, which is round in cross section rather
than squared oval as the original was.
2. 1950's / 60's 3/4 ton 2 wheel British Army Sankey 100 gallon water tank
trailer, tired but relatively complete and original, will tow as is, but
lunette shaft has a distinct bend in it which suggests that either the
trailer or the towing vehicle did something interesting once.
Asking price is UKP 800 for the Chev and UKP 100 for the trailer, owner
would only consider cash or partial trade of MB / GPW parts for either.
No photos available at the minute, but he could be persuaded to take some
I suppose. Contact e-mail via me or phone (00-44) 1324-826604 and ask
for Hamish Taylor.
