I've worked out at the base as a contractor, and there are sometimes 4 or 5
train load of various armored vehicles sitting on sidings around Anniston.
Spoke with the director of the Army's center for historical preservation,
which has a facility on base. They have been making an effort to get rid of
all the old armor stored on base (sorry to other countries not to civilians)
just so the overhead satallite photos won't show so many tanks in one place.
Trust me, it's not a military secret that there are acres (or hectars) of
tanks parked in Anniston, Alabama. Don't know if any of them will run or not,
but they sure look impressive. No you are NOT allowed to take photos.
