It is ok to tap the center battery for low amp 12 v devices like CB's etc.
It is not ok to tap high amp devices because it causes an imbalance in the
charging system resulting in one battery being undercharged and the other
one being overcharged. At best you will get one battery discharged and
won't be able to crank you MV. At worst you can cook off and explode the
other battery and have one first class mess. There should be a thread in
the archives about this.
