Hi, I've used modern cooling fluid without any undue problems. Critical
part seems to be adding only properly diluted fluid and not exceeding the
specified strength. I've ruined a water pump seal by using undiluted
fluid (and not running the engine to mix it) but any other problems have
been normal wear or age.
