There is an ongoing investigation here in Boise about the sale of two M60a3
MBTs from about three years ago. I know the guy who bought them. He paid
scrap metal price for the both of them. Came to about $1800. The only
demil they did on the things was cut the gun tube in half, remove the
breech, and make a two foot slice in the from armor right in front of the
driver. The new owner has several pieces of armor in Oregon. He has one of
these babies up and running, and the other for parts.
