Thanks for expanding knowledge on the Hummer body construction. I was indeed
not accurate in describing the body as a "unibody" type. I was actually
trying to explain why the bodies are so rigid (from the cowl back, anyway), by
being glued and riveted together.
Also, all along I thought the roofs were aluminum. I've heard some people say
that the only problem they have had with delamination of the glued panels is
at the edges of the roof. Perhaps this has something to do with dissimilar
metals, but I really don't know.
