I will tuck my head between my knees and say yes i have run a diesel out of
fuel. All that was around was off-highway diesel that we use for tractors,
so we put some of that fuel in the truck to get it started and go to the
fuel stop. The dye from the fuel lasted two or three tanks of fuel until
it was not noticiable. I would not run the off-highway diesel in a truck
cause if they find that they will look to find something larger wrong with
the truck and generally will. Play it safe and pay the few cents more a
gallon to get the legal fuel.
