[MV] Is a M-35 suitable??

Hi List,

A neighbor was over looking at my mk1 Bren Carrier and the question of
how to move it to events came up. I had thought to get a 4-5 year old
dualie F-250 or 350 and a trailer to handle the 4 tons of armoured
vehicle.

I was shocked to hear the going price was 15-25,000.00 for a truck 5
years old. Then my neighbor asked about a surplus duce-and-a-half.

Then I thought..What about a M-35? I know Brit/Canadian vehicles, but
have not explored 60's-70's vintage US vehicles.

So, list, the question is this: Would a M-35 make a good tow vehicle
for a double axle trailer that would carry a 4 ton tank, plus the 4
ton tank and gear?

I would likely only go a 300 mile radius away from home so a 600 mile
weekend.

The trailer would need to be fairly low, like a trailer to carry a
front end loader.

Now if it is worthwhile, what is a ballpark figure for a running M-35
or variant? I know the M-35 variants had turbo and multifuel upgrades,
but I never paid attention prior.

Now if someone has one to sell, don't try to sell me one just yet. I
have a year to go on the restoration before I start seriously looking
to buy a truck....I just want to do a "feasibility study".

Thanks guys!

Cheers,
Jim
