Well, my Weasel is in GREAT shape for a 54 year old work horse recently
released from Norwegian service, but it very much needs restoration. The
woman I spoke with said I would have to provide photos and that if the
vehicle wasn't in prestine condition, my application would most certainly
be turned down. Since it needs quite a bit of cosmetic work (and new
canvas everything) I doubt it would be worth my time to even apply.
The real kicker is that the agent told me flat out that if I intended to
use it for anything other than shows and cold storage that I would be
rejected as well. Driving 12 miles into the woods in the dead of winter
(one reason for me buying it!) would therefore be a violation of my
insurance policy. Not worth the risk.
