All, I have been given by my club (Puget Sound Military Vehicle
Collectors Club) a project that involves a bunch of maintenance
schedules, instructions and trouble shooting guides from early 1939 thru
1944. My question to the knowledgable is this: Were the PMS
(Preventative Maintenance Schedules) carried with each vehicle and in
what, ie plain brown wrapper, canvas bag, stuffd under the seat? I have
blank forms (originals) PMS #'s 2, 6,7&8, "Work Sheet for Wheeled and
Half-track Vehicles" Form #461, April 13, 1943 (11x17), "Driver's
Report-Accident" and "MWO and Major Unit Assembly Replacement Record".
We want to put them into some authenticated form for display.
Also have the class hand out for "WAR DEPARTMENT MT. RAINIEER ORDNANCE
DEPOT Office of the School Commandant Tacoma, Washington", "Voltage Reg
Calibration" test instructions, "Brake System Test and Trouble Shooting
1942" (for hydraulic and air systems) This stuff looks like it was
handed out as course training guides and later used in the field for
OJT. I am to put the above into a format that can be displayed. If
anyone is interested in this and/or has first hand knowledge of how this
stuff was used and more please e-mail me. Dirt Man 42GPW (PSMVCC)
