Well Todd, I respectfully disagree with you on the Weasel not being a
snowmobile. I don't know what state you are in but in Michigan the Weasel
does meet the definition of a snowmobile. I have an M116 Husky and two
Tucker-Sno Cats that I have licensed as snowmobiles and used the Husky as
such on public trails and roads as recently as yesterday (M-7 would qualify
also.) Before I licensed it I not only did research on how the motor
vehicle code reads, but with the potential arresting authority that governs
trail use. In addition most counties in MI that have snowmobile trails
allow snowmobiles to travel off the pavement but on the right of way on most
state and county roads. So it all boils down to where you are at and how
your fellow citizens and legislative body rules. It costs about $12. a
year to have a snowmobile liability rider added to your homeowners policy.
Good luck Lyle
