Next: Do you now own an armored mil-vehicle?
If you do, you might want to contact your local law enforcement and at least
make them an offer to use it in a crisis. It's good PR at the very least, but
it could save a life.
Just last year in our small community, officers were unable to approach a
house due to small arms fire by a hostage taker. They could have desperately
used something like an APC or Ferret, but none were available.
The ability to get in close, deliver a phone, etc. can be extremely helpful.
If this only happened once on national TV where one of our mil-veh's came to
the rescue, you would never again have to worry about the government taking it
away.
Please just think about it, seems like a decent gesture to me.
If anyone has any stories to relate about their mil-veh being used to help the
public, please send it to me and I'll see what we can do about some good
press.
