As to Briggs or Honda lawn mower engines, what is thier expected design
life? It is very low compared to say car engines. Think about it, how many
hours to you really get out of your lawn mower. You might thinks its real
high but do some simple math. You may be surprised to find out that it's
only a few hundred hours. The mil stuff isn't necessarily 'over designed'
it's just designed for a specific rating (electrical) and a certain life
(hours).
