I broke the starter on my (12v conversion) M715. I've got a spare 24v
starter lying around that I hope to convert to 12v. I can easily replace
the field coils with the good ones in the old starter. The problem is that
the 12v starter's armature is trashed. Can I use the 24v armature with the
12v field coils? The 12v armature is wound with relatively few thick copper
wires. The 24v armature is wound with a lot more (smaller) wires.
