Joe,
I have spoken to Bill Watson in NC and he tells me that the M274A3 is the
original M274 that has had the four cylinder engine taken out and a two
cylinder installed. The dis-advantages from the A2 are that the the brake drum
is smaller, there isn't any wire mesh in the bottom of the foot basket and
there is only one setting for the seat back. He says he has lost sells due to
the seat back setting if the prospective buyer is a taller man.
As far as worth compared to a A2 he said in identical condition he would pick
the A2 over the A3 but it would be worth only a little less.
Hopefully thits helps and you might take a look at this web site. I believe it
is the best on the net as far as Mules go.
