apparently there *is* something afoot with the big trucks...I have been
waiting patiently to bid on a 2 1/2 ton wrecker that I had my eye on, and I
was told by phone today that it was withdrawn, and will be scrapped. I was
referred to another office, which would not explain why. When I politely
insisted, they hung up on me! I believe this to be a misinterpretation of
some reg, and I also think we better jump right on it before a thousand or
two deuces go to la la land. I'm calling my Congressidiot to try and get a
personal meeting. People, remember this next time the government wants to
launch yet another agency that answers to no one.
When they start telling us that Congress has no say in these affairs, I'd have
to state that the bureaucrats have gone too far. Why are we still arming half
the world, sending trucks, guns, helicopters and armor to every jerkwater
republic in Europe, Africa and Asia, yet our own government has decided that
it won't trust its own citizens with army trucks? I cannot believe this is
the same country I fought for. This really saddens me. Maybe I'll start my
own foreign country and get myself on the handout list!
