You may want to remove the sideboards so that do not get damaged
The center of gravity (CG) of the rolls apparently is about 2.5' above the bed.
~9000# is not a lot of weight for a deuce. They are rated 2.5 tons cross
country and 5 tons on the road. Watch the CG on corners
Brakes on a trailer. Over 3,000# are suppose to have brakes in most/all states
When I tow a heavy trailer, I usually try to have as much tongue weight on the
pintle as possible to help with the 8 contact points of rubber with the road
called rear tires. I have probably had ~4,000# of tongue on more than one
ocassion. Of course, if you have additional weight in the bed, then tongue
weight for stopping ability is a moot point. It may be more of a point with the
number of axles on the trailer. Single axle trailers tend to 'wander' more.
Remember your insurance ratings/limits and your registration limitations on
weight. Your drivers license my come into play if the GVW is over 26,000#
Hope this helps
