I don't have experance with Encore bodies for M151s but I do have an M151A2
with a Specialty Auto reproduction body that is made entirely out of 12 Ga.
steel. Even with the added weight I don't notice too much differance in
performance. (I am compairing its performance to the six other "standard"
M151s that I have owned in the past.) The performance of my 12 Ga. bodied
M151A2 is similar to that of a factory M151 with a couple of stout friends
riding as passangers.
Over all, I really like the 12 Ga. body. Body work and modifications are a
snap since it is more like working with steel plate than with thin
sheetmetal. In addition, they are almost dent proof from things like car
doors, shopping carts, and tree branches.
Hope this helps.
Bill.
