I recall a couple of years ago someone out on the east coast, possibly
in NJ who was importing these very machines. Reasonable price I believe,
$4500 or so. Unfortunately I dont believe they are of very good quality.
Wehn these machines were produced by the Germans originally they were
probably very good quality for their time. Then you have one captured
and copied by the Russians, so the quality comes into question. Then the
Chinese copy a russian made opne they capture and ........ Well, seems
you have a poor copy of a poor copy.
If you want to see this in reality, check out a Ural motorcycle.
They're importing them here in the US. They are imported through
Washington state I believe. Reminds me of trying to own a Harley before
the "evolution" motor design. Better buy 3. That way you can ride one,
have one being rebuilt, and a spare. Good luck anyways,
Steve

****** On a memory I just checked an old Hemming Motor News,May '98 Ad
under cycles reads "Army military surplus motorcycles W / sidecars
(1938-1957) $4995 limited supply. Vintage Imports NJ, 732-473-1426.
Knew I'd seen it somewhere.

1962 M37B1 3/4 ton Truck
1968 M274A5 1/2 ton Utility vehicle "mule"
1968 M109A3 2 1/2 ton Shop Van
