>From what I heard last night on the news, the Coast Guard (I guess they
are Feds) were considering "grounding" all DUKW's until they pinned down
a cause for the sinking. The report I saw said it had been in two days
earlier for a leaking drive train joint. The report said that the safet
y record for the DUKW fleet, which numbers about 60 in commercial servic
e, has been exemplary this far. I don't see this as a threat to the MV
hobby--just the Coast Guard are trying to prevent further accidents of t
his type. The DUKW in question should be surfaced today and the cause
discovered within a day or two. TAS
