I've forgotten more facts and stories about WWII, specifically warbird
aircraft, than most people ever learned. All I've ever wanted to do was own,
or even just ride in, an old warbird. I've resigned myself to the fact that
my finances are never going to permit that to happen, so I'm doing the next
best thing; rebuilding a jeep.
Granted, it's not a WWII jeep, but a guy's got to start somewhere. I'm
nearly done with a frame up restoration of a '52 M38A1. (My dad and
father-in-law were both in Korea, so they are quite interested in my
progress.) I'm not doing it for the future value, just for the love of
seeing a small piece of history salvaged from an old farmer's barn.
Family and finances permitting, my next project is going to be the
acquisition and/or rebuilding of a WWII flat fendered model. So I will
second Bill in saying that any of you out there that need to find a good
home for one of these, just keep me in mind.
Doing what I can to Keep Em Rollin
