Someone mentioned the term "Historic Military Vehicles" the other day and it
got me thinking about how we might get better prepared for the inevitable
onslaught of groups and people who would restrict or outright ban the use or
ownership of our beloved vehicles. This is somethign that you must think of
ahead of time and be preprepared with a well thought out response. YOu cannot
'wing' and answer when confronted with a serious challenge. Remember, only 15%
of the population has been in the military in the US

Using terms like "Historic Military Vehicles" instead of military vehicles is a
great idea and instills a different conotation.

Other areas of problems: they are old technology and they pollute or are fuel
inefficient. Well so is the Old North Church in Boston, but would you advocate
tearing that historic building down for that reason? They are a piece of the
history of the [country]/world.

You are promoting/glorifying war:We are teaching history and as old George
Santayna said about it 'those who forget the past are doomed to relive it'
[loose quote]

Other ideas?

Steve
