[MV] M-37 Carb balls are unstuck!

List,

Yes, I finally got my balls out of a jam. The intake check ball (item #DD
in the drawing) was freed by pouring a dab of Marvel Mystery Oil into the
slotted port which leads down into a round hole under the check ball. I
pulled the fuzz off a Q-tip, and used it like a piston into the hole full of
oil. Under hydraulic pressure, the ball popped thru the goo and onto the
shop floor, never to be seen until I move away some day. The other ball, I
assume now, was actually not supposed to be pulled out, it was used as a
plug of sorts, being "staked" into a hole just above the pump jet (item "J"
in drawing). I don't know if that was an original or homeade plug.

Special thanks to Alan Bowes, Whose article on the ETW1 Carb rebuilding was
really handy and complete. It can be found at the web site of MV Central:

The float level specs were also there in the article, if I had only read it
in detail and not freaked out early in the article!

Thanks for the many responses!
