No, what we are trying to say is that your oil pump might be
installed one tooth off. The distributor is NOT driven by the camshaft like
on small block chevys. It is driven by the oilpump, which is in turn driven
by the camshaft. You can put the pump in wrong, it's really easy to do.
When it's wrong, your timing will look wrong even when it's right, but
doesn't hurt anything.
Do you have a 12v xenon light? set it up with a car nearby for
battery power, and do a timing test to see where it's really firing. Might
