Dear list,

Gavin recently wrote that he had been offered a "brand new hummer winch in
the box" for "675 bucks US".

Gavin, unless you know the source to be legitimate, I would suggest being
careful about purchasing this item for such a great price. I'm not sure, but
think the Hummer 12,000 lb. cap. winch should sell new for at least a couple
of thousand US dollars.

If the winch is located in the United States and you do not buy it, and of
course assuming it is not "hot", I have some friends that would be very
interested in purchasing one at that price.
