Now's your chance to preserve history. I spoke to a woman today who's
father just passed away. She is trying to get rid of a 1944 Military
GMC 37 Passenger Bus. This is a rear engine bus which resembles a
Greyhound bus of that era (I am NOT a bus expert!). In other words, it
resembles a great olive drab slug. Located in Seattle, WA. It's
missing the engine.
She says it was surplused right after WWII, purchased by her father in
1967, and has not moved since then. It's still in O.D. with diagonal
yellow stripes on the rear end. I just know that one of you MV parts
guys can't resist the temptation to fix up this beauty to take to all
the national meets in true class. Hitch your MB/GPW behind...
I am going to look at it tomorrow, just because my curiosity has been
piqued. If anyone is seriously interested, contact me and I'll tell you
what I find out tomorrow...
Oh did I mention it's FREE? Yup, she said she would give it to anyone
who would take it just because she doesn't want to see it cut up! Talk
about a "no-dicker" sticker!
Best part is, after you drag it home, and your wife throws you out, you
have a place to sleep!
