[MV] Canvas for trailer

Hi All
I found a trailer today, I hope it is the right one. I couldn't find the
"M" number, it was getting dark, but did find that it was a generator
trailer. It has 9.00x20 tires that are real good, good paint, the hitch
seems complete with a steel wheel and pintle ring. It has bows and no
sides.
I have 3 questions.
1. how can I tell if this trailer is for my M35A2, and what "M" number it
is?
2. where can I get the canvas top for it?
3. did I pay to much at 300.00$?
Everything on the trailer seems intact, I just don't know what it is and am
curious. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, I'm new but learning fast.
Also, can anyone tell me how to ID the military forklift I bought? It says
U.S. stamped into the steel and is a Yale.
