CARC (Chemical Agent Resistant Compound) paint is nothing more than a higher
form of polyurethane (Imron) paint. Read the label on the can. If your
body shop can paint polyurethane, they could be your person. Yes, it is
abnoxious and needs special handling as any urethane, but not too much more
than Imron. You SHOULD always use an aspirated (fresh air) mask when using
this stuff AS WELL AS ANY PAINTING. Yes it is dangerous if not used
properly as with ANY PAINT. There are all kinds of stories floating around
about this particular type of paint, but, if painted with proper equipment,
you should have good results. It is a bit more abnoxious (more chemical
content) with the componets of any polyurethane paint. It is a tough, long
lasting paint that is far superior to any enamel paint. DO NOT TRY TO USE
ANY PAINT WITHOUT PROPER FACE PROTECTION. This is only common sense!. Your
jeep nut, Julian Burke
