I think the previous poster was talking about "siping"-the process of
cutting little slits in the tread(not the technical definition I'm sure)to
improve traction/handling in wet weather. Not sure, but just a guess on
what he was talking about. It helped my mud tires on my Jeep, but I haven't
had any experience with NDTs yet. Soon hopefully.
