I have pics/info on the Goat development here at APG, the Goat models that
emerged from the LTV contract in 1965-66 had the 3 cyl diesel engine, an
article from Army Research and Development magazine Sep 66 also has good
description and photos and states that the vehicle had the 3 cyl detroit
diesel. Wheel/brakes were more like regular truck assembly and they carried
a spare tire on the pass side versus where the fuel tank is located on
production models. Body shape had many differences too.
