I have two jeep engines that I'm hoping someone on the list can identify and
tell me what jeep they are out of and maybe what vintage:
Engine #1 Block is stamped DR1288400AL on a boss on the right side, just
behind the oil filter. The last 4 numbers/ letters are hard to read (0 could
be C and L could be 1). 638632 W1 is cast on the right side of the block
near the bottom.
Engine #2 Block is stamped 4LR139357 on a boss above the water pump.
804380-W-12-D-P5 is cast on the right side of the block near the bottom.
