<< Reality says that they
(meaning the MAJORITY of the population and politicians) can take from us
if they so choose, and there isn't much we can do about it. So don't
give them an excuse to screw us. >>
Much agreed.....
Sometimes you have to play their game in order to get to play your own........
They dont have to play it with you.......they dont even need to know you are
playing.......
That is half the fun of game-playing with politics.......The absence of
recognition.....Politicians have this blind acceptance that you are part of
the masses they think they control........and, in the end, what difference
does it make what they think?
What you wear on your face does not have to be what you wear in your
heart......so long as you, yourself, are aware of the discrepancies, no one
else has to know.
You do not necessarily need to drive your Ferrett/Fox/MV down the street
fully weaponed in order to know you own one.......The most impressive people
I know are the people who do not feel the need to show off what they
possess.......but those who possess it with dignity and pride, in themselves,
as well as in their possessions.....
Government may try to take away your things, but it can never take away that
which you are......to frighten others by flaunting what you own shows a
disregard, not only for society, (which, whether we like it or not, we are a
part of) but for yourself.......and a lack of respect for yourself as well
as for all those others......
We can own Military Vehicles, we can own guns, we can drive 'em and we can
shoot 'em, but I, personally, do not think we have the right to intimidate
with them........ If you need to feel bigger by making someone else feel
smaller, then you are not at all big enough.........
By acting irresponsible, we acknowledge that we are not capable of the
responsibilites that come with ownership. If you feel the need to be an
individual, if you feel the call to be different, then you need to feel the
burden of proof resting squarely on your shoulders......
We all answer to someone in the end, and that someone is not Goverment, it is
the voice which lives in our own head, and it is called being responsible for
our own actions.......Too bad some of us dont seem to be listening......
Dancing to a different drummer does not entitle anyone to demand others to
dance with them. Forcing the issue by frightening local towns and PDs will
only get the music shut off. For all of us.....even those of us who are
content to dance alone.
Thanks for the opportunity to not only read all of your opinions, but to vent
my own.......It always feels so damnedly good to do so.......
