I am not surprised at this. When this issue first came up, he did call
us (refer to our previous posting of 7/9/99). One of the things he
did say is that he would advise all other board members, including
himself, to respond only to Jim Gilmore regarding this issue, he said
it was a private issue between Jim Gilmore and the Board. However
it is important to note that as of yesterday, when we last spoke to
Jim he has NOT received any response from the MVPA regarding
this issue.
I still want to know why Jim was allowed to run in the last election but
not in this one. The MVPA Board should have had a reason 2
months ago when the decision was made, I don't know why they are
taking so long in coming up with one, unless, they don't have a
VALID reason. If it is a personal issue to try to "punish" Jim for the
previous election problems, then it is totally unacceptable and this
"loophole" should be taken care of. I know some action has to be
taken to correct our by-laws, as was pointed out by a previous post
by DDoyle9570. I can help, but I can't organize it. We are
expecting our 2nd child at the end of August so we have our hands
full in our household. But as I said, I would like to help to change
our by-laws and would support this 100%. I think we have a good
thing going here with the MVPA, we just have some wrinkles to work
out.
By the way, the impression that I got from Mr. Holland is that MVPA
office (including Mr. Holland) DOES receive a copy of any posts to
this list regarding the MVPA. So anything that is posted here, he will
see...
